Marketing Assistant vacancy – Salisbury, Wiltshire

We’re currently recruiting for a full-time marketing assistant to join our growing marketing agency.

We’re looking for a marketing assistant to join our team and help us deliver marketing and design initiatives on behalf of clients. We enjoy working with a large number of clients, helping them to meet their objectives, from new client leads to increased sales.

The exact role will be determined by the applicant’s experience.


Duties and responsibilities:

Works under Marketing Executives on digital marketing campaigns for clients. Marketing channels include social media ads, google ads and email marketing. Analyses campaign performance, makes campaign adjustments to improve performance and produces client reporting

Manages and assists with social media accounts, creates and posts social media messages, sources relevant information and liaises with clients to obtain information to use in posts, targeted engagement and interaction with other social media users

Manages and assists with design work, liaises with clients and graphic designers, obtains client requirements, writes design briefs, collates and provides design feedback, manages deadlines, proofreads and obtains client sign-off

Supports on-site search engine optimisation work, researches targeted keywords, adds targeted keywords to websites, provides client reporting

Copywriting of blog posts, promotional material, ad content and web content on behalf of clients

Assists in delivering web design projects and managing web content for clients. Populates content and images into client websites

Assists with company expenses and administration

Delivers on marketing related key performance indicators

Reports to the director and works very closely with Marketing Executives.


Work experience and qualifications:

Some marketing experience preferred but not required.

Great communication skills, both written and verbal
Natural interpersonal skills
Strong time management and organisation
A keen interest in marketing as a career
Ability to organise own workload with good time management
Capable of dealing with multiple tasks at once and prioritising accordingly
Good common sense and an eye for good design
A team player that works well with others
Comfortable using computer software
High attention to detail
Strong spelling and grammar
Uses own initiative
Driving licence for attending client meetings

Whilst some experience is required, training will be provided for all responsibilities. Salary between £16,000 – £19,000 dependent on experience & qualifications.
